Ask a librarian is a service for current SUNY New Paltz faculty, staff and students who need answers to short, factual questions and want a response by e-mail.

This service is not designed to assist those with in-depth questions;for those we suggest that you visit the library, stop at the Information Desk and speak with a reference librarian. If more help is needed you can request a consultation with a Reference librarian. In response to electronic inquiries, the reference staff can answer brief, factual questions, recommend search strategies and resources, explain library polices and procedures, make referrals, and offer instruction in the use of electronic and print materials.
