Where should I look for polls and surveys in STL's databases?

Our databases contain a wealth of statistical information, charts, and poll data from magazines, newspapers, and journals. Databases like Academic Search Premier and ProQuest enable you to combine words like "public opinion"or "poll"with a keyword that describes your research topic. Here are some other strategies:

  • Many newspapers report on polls and opinion surveys:Use Lexis Nexis Universe to find polls from national and international newspapers
  • Our Reference Link database contains poll questions and answers:select the Statistics link on the main screen to search for them.
  • Selected statistical resources and public opinion polls may be found in Opposing Viewpoints. You may choose a topic and then select the Statistics or Articles tabs, or search for "Public Opinion"or "polls"from the Search box.
