You can turn your used books into new books for the college library collection by donating them to the Books for Books campaign. All books donated to the Friends of the Library are sold at used book sales to raise funds for library

acquisitions. Since 1998, approximately 500 individuals and groups, including academic and administrative departments on campus, faculty, emeriti, staff, students, parents, alumni, community members, local businesses, have contributed thousands upon thousands of used books to this program, generating tens of thousands of dollars of proceeds.

Donations of gently used books, as well as other media including DVDs, CDs and vinyl are accepted year-round. Please bring small donations (one box or less) to the Circulation Desk at the Sojourner Truth Library any time the library is open. For larger donations, please contact Mr. William Hennessey to arrange an appointment to meet us at our loading dock (845-257-3679 or hennessw@newpaltz.edu).

For more information about the Books for Books program or future sales, please contact Library Dean’s Office (845-257-3719 or librarydean@newpaltz.edu).
